AI is not calling new leads

Steps to follow if leads arrive but no call is triggered.


Check AI is enabled

Go to Settings → AI Configuration. Make sure the AI Enabled toggle is on. If it is off, leads will be received but no call will be made.

Check calling hours

If a lead arrives outside your calling hours window, no call will be made until the window opens. Check Settings → Calling Hours to confirm the window covers the time the lead arrived.

Check email forwarding

The most common reason leads do not appear at all is a broken forwarding rule. Log into your email provider and verify the forwarding address is still active and that the forwarding emails are not being caught by a spam filter.

Check your VAPI assistant

If the lead appears in Callisto but stays in Pending or goes straight to Failed, your VAPI assistant may not be properly configured or published. Go to Settings → AI Configuration, click Save & Sync, then log into your VAPI dashboard and ensure the assistant is published.
